Kurt James Wagner, a Sound Designer by trade, has had a long and established career in audio post production. Having done many hundreds of projects in film, Television, Radio, Live and Pre-Recorded Theme Park Entertainment, and Commercials, He has received honors from ATAS with two "EMMY" nominations for "Sound Editing" and "Sound Mixing", from the International Monitor Awards with four nominations and one Award, from the Addy Awards, and from the Crystal Reel Awards. Now semi-retired he teaches at Full Sail University.
Kurt has lived in Orlando, Florida most of his life, and he now fills his spare time with humanitarian efforts. Since his HIV diagnosis in 1988, he has come to terms with the disease and has become an activist for eliminating the stigma associated with HIV/AIDS, educating the community, and raising funds for local charities that support those affected and infected by the disease. He also has taken on the personal mission of raising awareness of those infected with HIV, that to live a healthy, full, and rewarding life is possible through medication, healthy diet and exercise. "You don't have to live your life on the side lines, get out there and enjoy each day. Surround yourself with the positive and loving people in your life." he says, "I owe my happiness to simply loving who I am, and loving my friends and family, who in return, give me unconditional love and support. To me each day is a gift and a blessing to be enjoyed, not wasted."
Recently, Kurt with his good friend Michael, has started an online radio show called "Straight to the Point with Michael Lloyd" on BlogTalkRadio.com. Through this show they hope to provide a new approach and a new way of thinking to dealing with the issues confronting people in modern society. From dating, to the hazards of drugs and promiscuous or unprotected sex, to healthy living through diet and exercise and even celebrity interviews. "We all have a story to tell. We all want to live life and enjoy the people and opportunities life has to offer. If each of us as individuals, choose to improve ourselves, the whole world becomes a better place."
